Grandhotel Tatra's wine shop is our real pride. Thanks to its location and wonderful design solution, it is truly unique. Stairs lead directly from the restaurant to the 5 m deep wine cellar, and the temperature in it reaches a pleasant 16 degrees.
Go on a little wine trip around the world with us, you won't need a passport or large luggage. It is enough to go down exactly 13 steps and in one breath you will find yourself in one of the wine regions. The wine cellar contains approximately 4,000 bottles of quality wine not only from Moravia and Slovakia, but from all over the world.
Thanks to the innovative Coravin Wine system, which the grand hotel is now using, you can also taste premium wines without having to buy a whole bottle. How does it work? The Coravin needle penetrates the cork without significantly damaging it. When pouring wine, argon gas flows in the opposite direction, which prevents oxygen from entering the bottle and its gradual deterioration. After the needle is pulled out, the cork closes automatically.

The wine tasting will be prepared by a sommelier who has included a fresh selection of quality wines on the wine list. Since the wine shop is beautiful and well designed, we are introducing micro-tastings, which guests can order after dinner either directly in the interior of the wine shop or in the lobby bar.
